Library by Appointment

The Libraries continue our support for campus’ effort to reboot research by offering our Library by Appointment services. Patrons can make an appointment to enter a library to take advantage of the following services:

  • Access to Libraries and Collections
  • Computer Lab Reservations
  • Pickup by Appointment
  • Study Space by Appointment

IMPORTANT: Faculty and PIs whose research falls under the Research Reboot guidelines must also complete the Phase 2 Research Reboot request form.

Access to Libraries and Collections

Appointments at Art Library, Business Finance and Analytics Lab, Memorial Library, Mills Music Library, Steenbock Library and Wisconsin Historical Society Library

Appointments at UW Archives, Special Collections, and Wisconsin Historical Society Archives

Note that access to all locations except WHS Library and WHS Archives is limited to faculty, staff, and graduate students.

NEW: Computer Lab Reservations

Make an appointment to use a Macintosh or Windows computer in the Memorial Library Computer Lab which has been setup to support individual work in an environment that follows campus and CDC guidelines for physical distancing. Read more about this service or go directly to schedule an appointment.

Pickup by Appointment

Find items in the Library Catalog from locations around campus, put them on hold, and then schedule an appointment to pick them up. We’ll get the books off the shelf, check them out for you, then have them ready for you to pickup from Memorial Library at your appointment time, safely and quickly. Read more about this service.

NEW: Study Space by Appointment
